Kindness - Virtue Series 04

Kindness

Unrecognized, unrelenting, unopposed.

Swaddled, overarching treetops strobe natural light in the 97’ Chevy.

Looking upwards, sky's bottomless bright abyss,

 branches are only saving grace.

The rarest way to look is up.

Without mobility, there’s only imagination.

Vaccines prevent disease as innocence does to ill-intent.

No purpose, no predispositions, no pride.

Blended azure reflects rainbows off the tint,

its light balances, dancing along the pupil’s rims.

Motors still hum, smoke leaves the clouds untouched.

Steers still shake, gravity centers the child unmoved.

Adults still argue, imagination cradles the mind unscathed.

When I dream - I dream of you,

yes, we can still dream of those days of inverted blue.
