Hi, I’m Jay.
Golden Circle, Iceland.
Writing is living.
I formed that motto growing up in the south shore town of Duxbury Massachusetts, scribbling down pages and pages of amateur writing- fiction, poetry, thoughts, and otherwise uncollected ideas. On the margins of my math and science homework, I would dream up narratives that spurred me to write, all of which would end up lost in archives of online cloud services or tucked in the back wrinkled papers of a notebook. I graduated from Providence College in 2020, and since then I’ve made the decision to not only recover my lost works but keep myself accountable and post them for all to read, criticize, and share. Writing is meant to be read.
Be that as it may, I am no professional. I find myself living as Socrates said, “the wisest man is the man who admits he knows nothing at all.” My writing is always open for critique and suggestions, and if possible, I’d like to offer the same peer review to writers across the globe. My fondest memories come from workshops where ideas spill out like waterfalls, fluid and rapid with the excitement of a new project.
So then, let’s take this journey together.
